This is a 13-page document with visuals, to accompany 'The Seed Song,' sung to the tune of 'Camptown Races.' The song mentions several things that come from seeds (watermelons, juicy apples, crunchy walnuts, giant oak trees, ears of sweet corn, big fat pumpkins, grass and bushes, dandelions).
Pages 1 - 3: Lyrics for the song with small illustrations, suitable for displaying to the whole class.
Pages 4 - 13: Each half-stanza of the song is portrayed visually on a single page, with the growth of the object shown growing from a seed. Individual students can hold pages up when singing the corresponding verses. Alternatively, each page can be used to illustrate and discuss the seed-plant growth cycle (see if students can "complete" the cycle by tracing the final step with a finger, or with a dry-erase marker if the visual is laminated).
